Coven and Coven Code Serve Different Developer Needs

Understand the boundary between the runtime direction and the package workflow.

Coven and Coven Code are related, but they are not interchangeable.

Coven

Coven is the broader harness substrate and runtime direction. It includes the daemon, CLI reference, harness concepts, memory and model direction, and long-term orchestration architecture.

Coven Code

Coven Code is the local-first package and command-line workflow for coding with Coven-style agents. It is tracked separately when the work is about the package, install path, CLI behavior, or TUI.

Why The Boundary Matters

Separate roadmaps make release notes clearer. Runtime architecture belongs with Coven. Package install and local CLI workflow belong with Coven Code.
